12th Western Pacific Congress of Chemotherapy and Infectious Diseases
January 21, 2010

Invitation

The Society of Infectious Disease (Singapore) is honoured to organise the 12th Western Pacific Congress on Chemotherapy and Infectious Diseases, which will be held in Singapore from 2nd to 5th December 2010.

Despite impressive economic and social changes in the Western Pacific, countries in the region still face many long-standing and some emerging infectious diseases. Our theme "New Pathogens, New Challenges" will help us understand the journey ahead in managing infectious diseases and chemotherapy. By coming together to share our collective experience, we hope to keep each other informed about the latest in infectious diseases in the Western Pacific, form new collaborations and strengthen existing links.

As Chairman of the Organising Committee, it gives me great pleasure to invite you to Singapore for the 12th WPCCID. No effort will be spared to make the scientific programme exciting, productive and an enriching learning experience for researchers, clinicians, nurses and allied health professionals. The 12th WPCCID will also be an excellent opportunity for networking, renewing old ties and making new friends.

Come learn from the experts and at the same time indulge in the rich cultural experience that vibrant Singapore offers. I am certain you will not have a dull moment in Singapore.

Mark 12th WPCCID, 2nd to 5th December 2010, Singapore in your travel calendar today. My colleagues and I look forward to welcoming all of you in the exciting month of December in Singapore.
